Hannah's Violin Group - Canon by Pachelbel

This is my violin group. We played at the homeless shelter. I enjoyed playing there. It made me happy to see all of the people enjoy it. I met a lot of them and a lady said that we made her Christmas and that made me feel happy.

Our New Family Blog

Welcome to our family blog. This is a great idea that Mike, Cathy, and their children have to share information about what is going on with our family. We have enjoyed viewing their blogs.

This has been an exciting year for us. Our family has been so blessed. I'm excited about my new job. I've been working for this company for a year as a contract software developer. I was excited when they offered me a full time position. I enjoy what I do and work with a great group of people.

Hiroko is still working for the church in the family history department. This has been a great job for her and our family. She works part time and can choose when she wants to work.

This has been a fun Christmas season. We have attended several of our children's performances. Hiroko has worked so hard with the children with their music and school. The hard work has paid off. Recently we attended a piano recital where all of our children performed. Jacob, Will, and Hannah all did a great job. Dad and Mom have always been a great support and it's exciting to have them come to watch our children.

Will also plays the trumpet. His band performed at the school Christmas concert. It was fun to watch him play. He is getting so talented at the piano. He recently has had the opportunity to play the opening song in young mens.

Hannah plays the violin in the advanced orchestra. Her violin group also has had the opportunity to perform several times during the Christmas season. A week ago, her group went to some homeless shelters. After they played several of the people attending made comments about how much they appreciated their music. One man said he heard the group playing the violin and gave up the Sunday night football game. He said he would do it again. This was the ultimate compliment. I'm sure this made Hannah feel good inside.

Jacob recently had an Olympic day during school. It was Greek day. I was fortunate enough to go watch during my lunch hour. They did a long jump, a javelin throw, but my favorite was the chariot race. Jacob was the chariot. Both him and his friend, who was the horse, were leading half way through the race. Unfortunately, the horse made a quick turn at the wall and tipped the chariot over. Jacob looked like he was having so much fun. I'm glad that his school has fun activities for the children.

We've always been so grateful for Dad and Mom. They are the best parents and grandparents that we could have. They have always been there when we need help. I can tell the Will, Hannah, and Jacob love them very much. Thank you Dad and Mom for all you do for us. We love you very much.

We haven't had a lot of time to work on this blog because of the busy season. We will soon add some videos of our kids.
